COOLGLASS

Project Time 2019-2021
Combining glazed glass with both heating and cooling features, UV protection, privacy and tint. This ongoing research project continues to progress in combining triple insulating glazing, adjustable surface heating / cooling and an intelligent sun protection system in one component. In the course of environmental compatibility, COOLGLASS is to be self-sufficient with integrated photovoltaic modules.

KLEBTECH

Klebtech was founded in October 2018 by 15 companies and two research institutions. The main topics of the project are quality assurance and damage tolerance of adhesive technology.

The focus is on material composites of glass without mechanical fasteners and more efficient handling of glass. The origin of this innovation is to make glued glazing suitable for everyday use and to develop non-destructive quality control through innovative sensor monitoring.

GLASS RACK WITH
REINFORCEMENT – TENSIONED GLASS RACK

The use of laminated glass in combination with glass supports has been so far been unsatisfactory due to the brittleness of the glass. This project aims to increase the load-bearing capacity by prestressing with reinforcement. This project explores the possibilities of a regulated, modular roof system with prestressed reinforcement.

PV-BOND: POINTLY GLUE PHOTOVOLTAIC MODULES

This project dealt with environmentally friendly energy generation through the use of solar modules in glass facades. In this project, rear adhesive fastenings for thin-film PV modules were developed and tested. The holders can be attached to existing substructures from different manufacturers.
